FOUR SCHOOLS RECOGNIZED AS MAGNET SCHOOLS OF
EXCELLENCE

Four Miami-Dade County public schools have been selected as
Magnet Schools of Excellence by the national education
organization Magnet Schools of America (MSA). Air Base
Elementary, Carver Middle, Coral Reef Senior High and
Herbert A. Ammons Middle schools will receive the award May
1st as part of the 20th annual International MSA Conference
in Houston.
Also, one school will be honored with the Dr. Ronald Simpson
Distinguished Merit Award as the nation's most outstanding
magnet school.
Additionally, Miami Norland Senior High School was named as
a Magnet School of Distinction. For more information,
