DISTRICT LAUNCHES SPEAKERS BUREAU

To help area businesses and civic groups provide their employees and members with information about public education in Miami-Dade County, the school district has launched its new Speakers Bureau.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools has experts in many areas of education who are available to speak before organizations on an array of topics, including school/business partnerships, volunteering, educational choice, and funding. Speakers are available to present information in English, Spanish or Haitian-Creole.

"Throughout the school year, citizens need information or have questions about public education," said Communications Executive Officer Mayco Villafaña. "Our Speakers Bureau takes the dissemination of information to a personal level that allows discussion and encourages community input."
