GROUNDBREAKING FOR STATE SCHOOL ‘B1’ ON MERRITT SCHOOL SITE: THURSDAY, JAN. 17 January 3, 2002 A groundbreaking for the construction of State School "B1" elementary on the former Ada Merritt school site,660 S.W. 3rd St., and the restoration of the historical building on the property will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan.17. School officials and business and community leaders will participate in the ceremony.
