COUNTY STUDENTS TO USE OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS August 9, 2002 As of today, 392 students in Miami-Dade County are scheduled to use opportunity scholarships to attend private schools for the 2002-2003 school year. Seventy applications have been received by the school district. Additional applications have been filed directly with the state by private school operators or by parents.
