M-DCPS CELEBRATES EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION WEEK

Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Week will be celebrated at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and throughout Florida, Oct. 4-8. Activities for the week will include poster, essay, and song contests; inspirational speakers; ESE student-led programs; an art exhibit and more.

The district's Office of Exceptional Student Education and Student/Career Services assists 49,000 students and offers a variety of services to meet the diverse needs of students and their parents. ESE programs serve students with cognitive, emotional, and sensory disabilities as well as those who are gifted. The program focuses on preparing students to become successful in school, work and life.
