September meeting of the Miami-Dade School Board. Items to be discussed include:

• An unprecedented plan to join forces with the City of Miami to benefit all schools and students across the city.
• A plan to reintroduce recess to all elementary schools.
• A proposal to replace traditional class rankings such as valedictorian and salutatorian with a ranking system that mirrors collegiate rankings.
• The final hearing for the 2005-2006 $5.5 billion budget.
