WHY: |
Ronald W. Reagan/Doral Senior High School will celebrate the final installment of its tilt-up panels, marking the last stages of building. The tilt-up structural system allows for faster, more efficient construction. The 2,000-student station school is 240,000 square feet and designed to be a hurricane shelter. Active construction started last fall and will be completed next summer. The projected opening is the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year. The state-of-the-art school is a $30 million project. |
