MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO HOLD
INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS ON BOUNDARY CHANGES

MIAMI – As part of the Attendance Boundary Committee process, Miami-Dade County Public Schools will hold a series of meetings to discuss possible changes to attendance boundaries or grade levels. The Attendance Boundary Committee, which is made up of volunteer parents and community members, has targeted a list of schools for possible changes next school year.

Meetings are open to the public and will take place as follows:

Wed., Oct 12, 7 p.m.

Hammocks Middle School, 9889 Hammocks Blvd. Discussion of Winston Park Elementary as it becomes a K-8 center which also affects Howard D. McMillan Middle School.

Mon., Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m.

Lake Stevens Middle School, 18484 N.W. 48th Place
Discussion of boundaries for new middle school located at 18250 N.W. 75th Place, which also affects Lawton Chiles Middle School.

Mon., Oct. 17, 6 p.m. 

Paul Bell Middle School, 11800 N.W. Second Street
Discussion of school assignment for the location south of N.W. 25th Street, north of N.W. 12th Street, east of the Florida Turnpike and west of the Miami-Dade County line which also affects Eugenia B. Thomas Elementary, Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary, Doral Middle and G. Holmes Braddock Senior High schools.

                                                Discussion of new elementary school located at S.W. 144th Street

and S.W. 160th Avenue which also affects Jack D. Gordon Elementary School.

Tues., Oct. 18, 6 p.m.                        South Miami Elementary School, 6800 S.W. 60th Street

                                                Discussion of South Miami Elementary as it

becomes a K-8 Center which also affects South Miami Middle School.           

Wed., Oct. 19, 7 p.m.                        Devon Aire Elementary School, 10501 S.W. 122nd Avenue

                                                Discussion of Devon Aire Elementary as it becomes  a

K-8 Center which also affects Arvida, Palmetto, Southwood and Richmond Heights middle schools.

Thurs., Oct. 20, 7 p.m.                        Frank C. Martin Elementary School, 14250 Boggs Drive

                                                Discussion of Frank C. Martin Elementary as it

becomes a K-8 Center which also affects Arvida, Palmetto, Southwood and Richmond Heights middle schools.
