SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS NEW SCHOOLS FOR NORTH MIAMI, RECOUPING CLASS SIZE AMENDMENT COSTS, OTHER ISSUES
MIAMI –The Miami-Dade School Board will tackle several major items at its Oct. 19th meeting, beginning at 1 p.m. in the School Board Administration Building auditorium, 1450 N.E. Second Ave. Among the issues are:

An agreement with the City of North Miami to build two new high schools and a
K-8 center.
-
Requesting reimbursement from the State for costs of construction incurred as a result of the class size amendment.
-
A proposal for a secondary school for girls.
-
An update on the progress of capital projects across the District.
-
Changes to the District’s Student Progression Plan.
