MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
CLASSES, ACTIVITIES, WORKSHOPS CANCELLED FOR SATURDAY, OCT. 22

All Miami-Dade County public schools and adult education centers will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 22.  All Saturday tutorial programs, educational support programs, extracurricular activities and athletic events for Saturday, Oct. 22 have been cancelled.

All workshops of the Division of Advanced Academic Programs scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Embassy Suites Hotel have been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Teaching Enrichment Activities to Minorities (TEAM), Pre-AP, and Educational Plan (EP) workshops will be rescheduled and participants will be notified.

The Saturday, Oct. 22 ACT Assessment being administered at most ACT centers in South Florida has been postponed in anticipation of Hurricane Wilma.  A complete list of centers and reschedule dates is at http://www.actstudent.org/regist/reschedule.html.

The Benefits Fairs and flu shots scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25 have been rescheduled as follows:


• Miami Jackson Senior High and South Dade Senior High – Nov. 4.
• Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High and Miami Senior High – Oct. 31.

(These are changes in dates only.  Persons who have previously signed up for a flu shot do not need to do so again.)
 
The Anti-Bullying Workshop with Catheryn Berger Kaye, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 24, at Miami-Dade College, Wolfson Campus has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

The School Board Workshop on the Comprehensive Information Technology Blueprint scheduled for Oct. 26 will be rescheduled in consideration of many out-of-town presenters.
