TWO SOUTH FLORIDA ORGANIZATIONS TO BRING HOLIDAY JOY
TO NEVA KING COOPER EDUCATIONAL CENTER

HOMESTEAD – The Sunshine Corvette Club and Ryder System, Inc. have once again stepped up and pledged to make the holidays a bit more special for the students of Neva Cooper Educational Center, a Miami-Dade County Public School for mentally and physically challenged children and adolescents.

The Corvette Club will hold its event on Wednesday, December 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Neva King Cooper Educational Center, 151 N.W. Fifth St., Homestead. Ryder System Inc. will host its event on Thursday, December 8, at 9:30 a.m. at the same location.

The Sunshine Corvette Club, which has been involved with the school for the past 11 years, will team up with the Miami Heat Dancers and the Heat’s Mascot, "Burnie," to help distribute the gifts that a parade of Corvettes will bring to the students. This annual tradition has been a holiday highlight for the school and is always very touching for those involved.

Ryder employees have been working with the school for the past seven years, providing the students with gifts and much-needed items including warm blankets, dental hygiene products, activity tables, pool towels and swimming suits, as well as Thanksgiving dinners. The Christmas party will feature Santa arriving at the school on a fire truck bringing a special gift to each student.
