M-DCPS CELEBRATES FIRST ANNUAL 'EDDIES' EDUCATION AWARDS

Miami-Dade Public Schools will salute the outstanding contributions of its educators, support staff, administrators, business leaders and school volunteers at the First Annual Education Awards - “The Eddies.” Sponsors include FedEx, Herff Jones, Inc., United Health Care, United Way and Wachovia Bank. The ceremony will be co-hosted by the American Federation of School, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), the Dade Association of School Administrators and United Teachers of Dade. |
WHAT: |
The Eddies will honor individuals and organizations in the following categories: Outstanding School Volunteers and Golden/Silver School Awards; Exemplary Dade Partners Awards; AFSCME Employee of the Year; Assistant Principal of the Year; Office Employee of the Year; Paraprofessional of the Year; and Principal of the Year. The event is open to the public; tickets are $55 per person or $550 per table of ten, and attire is black tie optional. |
