COMMUNITY GATHERS TO CELEBRATE NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART AUDITORIUM AT HIALEAH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

WHO:   Students, teachers, school staff and administrators from Hialeah Senior High School will join Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Division of Life Skills and Special Projects, the Miami-Dade School Board, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs

WHAT: To dedicate the school’s brand new, state-of-the-art auditorium. More than three years in the making, this cutting-edge facility ushers in a new age for the school and community. Built with a $3.5 million grant from Miami-Dade County that was matched by Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the auditorium features every modern amenity: new seating, stage, and sound and lighting equipment. The original auditorium was gutted, leaving only the exterior walls; the new one was completely rebuilt from within.

This auditorium is a joint partnership between Miami-Dade County and Miami-Dade County Public Schools. In addition to providing students in the school’s arts program with a high-tech facility, the auditorium will also be used to provide cultural events for the community.

WHEN:  Tuesday, April 26, 9 a.m.

WHERE:  Hialeah Senior High School auditorium, 251 E. 47 St., Hialeah.
