CREATE NEW PARTNERSHIP

WHO: 
Miami-Dade School Board Chair Frank J. Bolaños, Superintendent of Schools Rudolph F. “Rudy” Crew, members of Junior Achievement of Greater Miami (JA), students and staff from Kensington Park Elementary School
WHAT:
“JA in a Day” will bring together school district and business leaders in an event centered on recruiting 50 volunteers to teach JA’s Elementary School Program (K-5) at Kensington Park Elementary School. Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ partnership with Junior Achievement is part of ongoing efforts to bring the business community in schools to teach the JA curriculum, which includes business skills, entrepreneurship and character education. JA volunteers will be present and teaching in the classes all day.

Thursday, May 26, 8:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Welcome / media event will take place at 8:00 a.m.
