M-DCPS STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN LAW DAY 2005

WHO: 
Law Magnet students from Miami, Coral Reef and Carol City senior high schools will join State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Public Defender Bennett Brummer, as well as other members of the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
WHAT:
Students will celebrate Law Day 2005. The theme this year is “The American Jury – We the People in Action.”They participate in the criminal court jury pool, where judges will interview them for selection. This is an opportunity for students to learn the value of jury service. Law Day is designed to promote a better understanding of how law keeps people free and how the legal system endeavors to achieve justice.
