***MEDIA ADVISORY*** M-DCPS OPENS NEW PARENT RESOURCE CENTER WHO: Parents, Superintendent of Schools Rudolph F. Crew, School Board members, school district staff WHAT: The opening of the new District Parent Resource Center. The center will be open Monday through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will offer parents materials and information on community resources, homework tools, FCAT study guides and more. The center will also act as a meeting place for parent groups, and a workshop site for parent trainings. It will feature a “Kids Corner” for pre-school- age children and M-DCPS students.
