PRINCIPALS, PTA WORKSHOP TO MIAMI – “Let’s Build a Strong PTA” was the theme of a June 8th workshop sponsored by School Board Member Evelyn Greer. Principals and PTA/PTSA Presidents from more than 18 schools in the Coral Reef, Miami Palmetto and the Miami Southridge Feeder Pattern schools were represented. Speakers shared strategies with principals and PTA leaders on how to strengthen PTA communication, create a PTA budget and develop a plan to build parent participation in the 2005-2006 school year. The next PTA Workshop will be on Thursday, June 30th from 4-5:30 p.m. at South Dade Senior High School, 28401 SW 167 Ave. All south Miami-Dade PTA/PTSA presidents and principals are invited, with an emphasis on the South Dade Senior and Homestead Senior Feeder Pattern schools.
