STUDENT FILM WINS TOP AWARD AT
FT. LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
MIAMI – A New Love, a film produced by students from Miami Northwestern Senior High School, has won the Best Florida Film Award at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF).
The film was submitted to the FLIFF Florida High School Film Competition. Currently in its second year, the competition has received such an overwhelming response that it has been opened to schools nationwide.
The students did all the writing and research for the film, as well as shot, produced and acted in it. Its story centers on Martinique, a girl who is trying to get ahead in school, and Adam, who has agreed to help tutor her. Adam makes plans with Martinique after school, but things don't go as planned.
