STUDENTS FROM WESLEY MATTHEWS ELEMENTARY TO PARTICIPATE IN RECORD-BREAKING EVENT

MIAMI – Third-graders at Wesley Matthews Elementary School will attempt to break the record for the most people reading aloud simultaneously in multiple locations across the United States at noon Wednesday, December 13.

Students, educators and librarians will gather in schools and community centers to read a passage from E. B. White’s Classic tale of friendship, kindness, selfless giving and miracles, Charlotte’s Web

Dr. Marta Perez, School Board member for District 8 and Wesley Matthews Elementary, said “I am enormously proud of this initiative because it incorporates learning, fun and a world record! I congratulate the students, teachers, administrators and parents who have developed this inspirational and innovative challenge for this fantastic school.”

The school is located at 12345 S.W. 18 Terrace. Information about the reading event can be obtained at http://www.charlotteswebbarr.com/.
