WHO:	Current or new Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students
WHAT:	Enrollment period for students and parents to apply for Miami-Dade County Public Schools' many high-quality programs that emphasize special areas of study offered for the 2006-2007 school year
WHEN:	Through January 31, 2006 (January 15, 2006 for New World School of the Arts)
WHERE:	Neighborhood schools or online at http://choice.dadeschools.net/applications.htm
WHY:	To allow students to pursue specialized areas of study. M-DCPS offers programs that focus on six main themes: careers and professions, communications and humanities, international education, Montessori, math and science technology and the visual and performance arts.
