STUDENTS IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS MIAMI – Students in Miami-Dace County Public Schools (M-DCPS) have reached an important part of the school year: FCAT testing time. Public school students in grades 2-11 will be taking the FCAT and other tests March 13 - 24. Test results will be used to assess student achievement and school performance and to determine third-graders’ promotion to 4th grade and high school students’ graduation. It is crucial that during this time parents help their children be prepared for the tests by making sure they are getting a full night’s sleep and enjoying a nutritious breakfast in the morning.
