MIAMI SPRINGS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FINISHES IN TOP 10 AT
PRESTIGIOUS MATH CONVENTION

MIAMI – Miami Springs Senior High School was recently recognized with a 10th place finish at the 39th Mu Alpha Theta National Convention in Knoxville, Tenn. The convention allowed students and teachers to participate in math-related activities and competitions.

The Miami Springs team brought home an outstanding 27 trophies and awards. The gifted team won accolades in various divisions, including the Calculus Bowl, Chalk Talk, Discrete Math, Statistics, Integrations, Differential Equations, Interschool, Trigonometry and more. The team was also a winner in the poster and scrapbook competitions.

Mu Alpha Theta is a national high school and two-year college mathematics honor society. With more than 75,000 members at 1,500 schools, Mu Alpha Theta encourages a love of math and promotes careers in math-related fields.
