‘A HIP…A HOP…A JUMP…A WALK IN THE PARK’ MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the Miami-Dade County Health Department have joined forces to present “A Hip…A Hop…A Jump…A Walk in the Park” event on Saturday, Sept. 26 to promote health, fitness, and wellness through healthy lifestyles and activities for employees and their families. The event begins at 8 a.m. at Tropical Park Families will learn how to make health fun as they participate in a 3-5K walk, hip hop aerobics, and jump rope activities. In addition, information related to exercise, good nutrition, and healthy relationships will be available along with free health screenings and other giveaways. Schools, divisions, departments, and offices will be encouraged to assemble teams and wear their theme colors and join in on the fun. Local agencies and organizations addressing nutrition, physical activity, health, and wellness will participate in a Health Fair.
