GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER MIDDLE NAMED ONE OF
AMERICA’S BEST URBAN SCHOOLS BY NEIGHBORHOOD SCOUT.COM

MIAMI – George Washington Carver Middle School has been named one of the Best Urban Schools in the U.S. by Neighborhood Scout, a web-based patented neighborhood search engine that uses statistics to build up profiles that allow individuals and families to instantly find the best neighborhoods for them, in any part of the United States.

Carver Middle is located in the neighborhood of Coconut Grove and dates back to 1899. The school strives to provide Miami-Dade County's multicultural and multilingual population with an advanced educational program by following state benchmarks that meet the academic standards of France, Germany and Spain.

Neighborhood Scout.com uses its patent-pending school quality rating algorithm, based on state-specific test scores for each school, yet standardizes it using national test scores by students in each state, to uncover the very best of the best. They searched over 100,000 public schools across the country to arrive at this highly selective list of winners.
