M-DCPS, BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH TO HOLD
‘PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY’ ON OCTOBER 21

Bank of America Merrill Lynch partners with THE COALITION of Miami-Dade County
Chambers of Commerce to prepare today’s youth for tomorrow’s workforce

MIAMI – On Wednesday, October 21, more than 370 of Miami-Dade County's business and civic leaders will take a break from their daily responsibilities to head to the principal's office, where they will learn what it takes to run the county's public schools.

"School principals are CEOs, too, and it is important for our community leaders to see how these individuals do their work. Principal for A Day is an excellent forum to do just that," said Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho.

The program’s goal is to turn their one-day experience into a long-term and active partnership with schools, enhancing overall student achievement and resulting in a stronger, more educated workforce.

“As guest principals, we look forward to interacting with the youth to motivate them to achieve their goals and dreams,” said Josh Moody, Associate Director for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Miami Americas Complex. Moody will serve as principal at Miami Edison Middle, located at 6101 N.W. 2nd Ave., Miami, 33127 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Principal for a Day is sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is in partnership with THE COALITION of Miami-Dade County Chambers of Commerce.

Bank of America is one of the world's largest financial institutions, serving individual consumers, small- and middle-market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services.
