DUTCH DELEGATION TO VISIT M-DCPS’ ESE PROGRAMS AT THREE SCHOOLS

MIAMI – A delegation of nine high-level directors from various offices, ministries and institutes throughout the Netherlands will be visiting the District’s Division of Special Education on Thursday, Oct. 15 – Friday, Oct. 16 to review, discuss and observe programs and services for secondary students with emotional/behavioral disabilities.
 
The two-day visit will consist of meetings with District and school-based staff, participating in presentations, discussions and consultancy sessions.  The delegation also will visit three schools, Howard Doolin Middle, Miami Sunset Senior High and Ruth Owens Krusé Educational Center, that house programs for students with emotional/behavioral disabilities.

Chairing the Dutch delegation is Professor Dolf van Veen, the Ambassador for Youth Policy for the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Children, Youth and Families and the Association of Netherland Municipalities.
