WHY:

The project is comprised of on- and off-site improvements, new construction, renovation and historic rehabilitation.

Miami Senior High School opened its doors in 1902 as the first high school in Miami-Dade County.  Built in 1927, this current structure is a Nationally Registered Historical Landmark.  The main buildings and gymnasium are historic buildings, with the overall site being designated with landmark status.
