DISTRICT’S FIRST ALL-MAGNET, ‘GREEN’ HIGH SCHOOL

WHAT: |
Community meeting to record name recommendations for State School YYY-1, the District’s first all-magnet senior high school. The school, scheduled to open August 2009, is located at 11005 S.W. 84th Street in Miami.
State School YYY-1’s design will be submitted to the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) certification. The LEED certification process is rigorous and requires very specific compliance procedures. YYY-1 is the first public school in Miami-Dade to be LEED registered. |
