Miami-Dade Academy of Finance’s first softball tournament

Saturday, March 14, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m

Tropical Park, 7900 S.W. 40th Street, Miami

The purpose of the tournament is to raise money to send the winning team on an all-expense paid field trip to New York City.  This field experience will enhance the learning that takes place in the Academy of Finance classrooms and bridge the divide between the knowledge gained in schools and the cutting edge of the industry.  

Tickets are available for advance purchase for $10 each.  Superintendent of Schools Alberto Carvalho is scheduled to throw out the opening pitch.
