2008-2009 STUDENT CAREER PATHWAYS EXPO A SUCCESS

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), in partnership with Miami-Dade College (M-DC), held the 2008-2009 Student Career Pathways EXPO on Sunday, April 26 at the Bank United Center on the University of Miami campus.

More than 1,000 parents and students in grades six through 12, as well as post secondary students, attended this free event to learn more about Career and Technical programs and services provided by M-DCPS and M-DC.

The EXPO allowed participants to learn about career academy programs such as Architecture and Construction; Information Technology; Hospitality and Tourism; Education; Health Science and so much more. The EXPO helped students choose a career path for the future.

Mia Lam, a 7th grade student at Palmetto Middle School, visited the 2008-2009 Student Career Pathways EXPO with her parents and siblings. She had the winning door prize ticket and took home a laptop computer.
