LAS M-DCPS PROPORCIONAN COMIDAS NUTRITIVAS
A LOS ESTUDIANTES DURANTE EL VERANO
MIAMI – Las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Miami-Dade patrocinarán el Programa de Servicios de Nutrición de Verano para Niños (Food Service Summer Program for Children) en algunas escuelas elegibles durante la escuela de verano que tomará lugar desde el 22 de junio hasta el 24 de julio de 2009. Varias escuelas pudieran tener sesiones de clases extendidas.
Dicho programa es similar al Programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares (National School Lunch Program). Durante el verano, éste proporciona comidas balanceadas a los niños sin tener en cuenta raza, color, sexo, discapacidad, edad o nacionalidad. Todos los estudiantes que tengan 18 años o menos, son elegibles para recibir el almuerzo y el desayuno sin costo alguno. No se discriminará al proporcionarse el servicio de alimentos. Cualquier persona que crea que él o ella ha sido discriminada por una actividad relacionada a la USDA debe escribir o llamar inmediatamente a:
