WHY: |
The school’s annual event commemorates May 20, 1902 “Cuban Independence Day”, when Cuba gained its independence from Spain. Milam’s students celebrate Cuban heritage and the strong historical ties between Cuba and the United States with music and dance. They will act in skits, sing and perform the music of Cuba, as well as dance danzónes and other traditional typical Cuban dances |
