EIGHT MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC SCHOOLS RECEIVE GRANTS FROM THE
LAURA BUSH FOUNDATION FOR AMERICA’S LIBRARIES AWARDS

MIAMI – Eight Miami-Dade public schools were among 13 in Florida and 188 schools nationwide that were awarded $1,098,634 in grants from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries today. The schools received grant awards of up to $6,000 to expand, update and diversify their library book collections.  The eight school from Miami-Dade County include: COPE Center North, Dr. Robert B. Ingram Elementary, Howard A. Doolin Middle, Jose de Diego Middle, Toussaint Louverture Elementary, Lake Stevens Middle, North Dade Middle and Miami Norland Senior High.  The former first lady announced all the grant winners this morning at Jose de Diego Middle School.
