WHY:
 School House to Your House is an innovative parental involvement program encouraging greater communication between the school and home.  Each week children study a different topic at school and continuing the lesson at home with their parents. Topics include character traits or values like trust and endurance. School House to Your House is an important tool to provide students academic support at school and at home. The seven-week program strengthened parent involvement at Devon-Aire K-8 Center by approximately 40 percent.School House to Your House is distributed in a 8.5” x 11” format then opens to a 17" x 22" placemat revealing content relevant to the week’s topic. The back provides space to write, illustrate and draw about the topic.
