More than 850 Redland Elementary School students, the crew from Discovery Communications, parents and school staff

WHAT: |
“Discovery Gets Packing” – each student will receive a brand new backpack full of school supplies including, a 3-ring binder, a 24-pack of crayons, a box of tissues, a set of dividers; a 12-pack of pencils; an eraser, and a glue stick. |

WHY: |
Since the program started in 2008, Discovery has donated 3,500 backpacks to select schools in a number of cities around the country that have a substantial number of financially disadvantaged students. The goal is for all students to start out the new school year on a high note. |
