Brushing with Dr. Lynda launch event

Miami-Dade County Public Schools and local dentist and children’s healthcare advocate, Dr. Lynda Colaizzi, have partnered to launch the Brushing with Dr. Lynda initiative. The program promotes dental hygiene and fosters a daily health regime among elementary school students. The pilot program consists of providing students with a pre-pasted disposable toothbrush at lunch every day and an educational component. Miami Dade College dental hygiene students will be available at the launch event to instruct students on the proper way to brush their teeth.

The program also will be implemented at David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center.
