W.J. BRYAN ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TO BECOME ‘GREEN HEROES’
WITH GRANT FROM RECYCLEBANK
William Jennings Bryan Elementary Museums Magnet School has been awarded a $4,699.49 grant from by Recyclebank Green Schools Program for creating a recycling and composting project. This award will pay for materials and tools necessary to create an environmental project at the school.
The recycling and composting project will engage and empower students to initiate and sustain an environmentally positive impact in their community while simultaneously allowing them to make a difference. Additionally, this grant allows the school to earn “green” points whenever they involve the community in this project. These points convert into cash, which can be used for future green initiatives at the school.
Each semester, the Recyclebank Green Schools Program awards environmental project grants of up to $5,000 to schools in Recyclebank home recycling communities. Recyclebank donates $10 for every 100 points donated to a school.
Recyclebank's mission is to motivate individuals and communities to realize a world where nothing is wasted. Green School Programs empower youth to become green heroes and make a positive green impact in their own communities.
