The Palmetto Elementary School Garden is brought to life each Tuesday in the form of an on-campus Farmers Market, garden demonstrations, and tastings to encourage healthy choices among the entire school community. |

WHY: |
The purpose of this event is to continue to promote a healthy school environment and healthy eating through the garden program at the school. The Farmers Market is a way for parents and staff to get directly involved in buying and preparing healthy, local, fresh farm produce at school. The Palmetto Elementary School Farmers Market reflects the district’s Wellness policies and fresh healthy food initiatives. It is an extension of all the great, healthy programs at Palmetto Elementary and throughout the school district. |
