THIS YEAR’S FINAL PRODUCTION OF THE SUPERINTENDENT’S
BENEFIT CONCERT SERIES SET FOR MAY 6

Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho is inviting the community to come and enjoy performances by the District’s talented student singers, dancers and artists, who will be featured at this year’s final production of the Superintendent’s Benefit Concert Series on Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Miami Jackson Senior High School.  The school is located at 1751 N.W. 36th St., Miami.

The concert, titled “Magic to Do,” will raise funds for the Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. to support the Cultural Passport Program. 

The concert will feature student performers from the following schools:

  • William Lehman Elementary School
  • Country Club Middle School
  • Charles R. Drew Middle School
  • Miami Carol City Senior High School
  • G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School
  • Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School
  • New World School of the Arts
  • Miami Palmetto Senior High School

The goal of the Cultural Passport Program is to provide all K-12 students with a different cultural field experience each school year.  By the time a student graduates from senior high school, he/she will have visited museums and art galleries, and experienced live musical, theatrical and dance performances.
