M-DCPS, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OF SPAIN RENEW MIAMI - Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho and Mario Bedera Bravo, the Secretary of State of Education and Professional Development of Spain will meet Tuesday, May 3 at 12 p.m., in the Media Center of Coral Way K-8 Center to announce the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the District and the the Ministry of Education of Spain. The school is located at 1950 SW 13th Ave., Miami, FL 33145. This is the fifth time the MOU has been renewed since it was first signed in 1988. This renewal provides Miami-Dade County Public Schools students with the opportunity to pursue an academic curriculum with an international focus that addresses rigorous standards of both U.S. and Spain’s educational systems. Miami-Dade County Public Schools continues to promote the study of world languages and international standards as necessary skills for full participation in a global community. Seven M-DCPS schools offer the Spanish Section of the International Studies Program: Ada Merritt K-8, Coral Way K-8, George Washington Carver Middle, International Studies Preparatory Academy, International Studies Charter High School, North Dade Center for Modern Languages and Sunset Elementary.
