REGISTRATION FOR 4-YEAR-OLDS NOW OPEN AT Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Early Childhood Center is now registering students for the 2011-2012 school year. Children must be four years old before September 1, 2011. Children from all over Miami-Dade County will be accepted, however, transportation will not be provided. Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Aftercare services will be available on a fee basis from 1:50 p.m. - 6 p.m. The Early Childhood Center specializes in providing early reading skills to pre-kindergarten students. The engaging digital curriculum also supports core programs in reading, math and science with explicit, individualized instruction that is aligned to current state and national standards. Most importantly, students discover the fun of learning and become prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
