SCHOOL FOR ADVANCED STUDIES TO HOLD EARLY COLLEGE ORIENTATION The School for Advanced Studies (SAS) will be holding Early College Orientation for current 8th- and 9th-grade students on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at the North Campus of Miami Dade College (MDC). The event will take place at the campus’ Lehman Theater, 11380 N.W. 27th Ave., Miami. Information regarding SAS and MDC will be disseminated at this event and a tour of the facilities, including the state-of-the-art Science Complex at MDC-North will follow the formal presentation. SAS is a full time dual-enrollment high school, a combined effort of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) and MDC. Students attending SAS complete their last two years of high school while attending MDC. The opportunity for acceleration and enrichment attracts motivated and academically talented students.
