WHY: |
The school’s annual event commemorates May 20, 1902 “Cuban Independence Day”, when Cuba gained its independence from Spain. Milam’s students will celebrate Cuban heritage and the strong historical ties between Cuba and the United States with music and dance. They will act in different numbers including skits, singing and performing the music of Cuba, as well as “danzónes” and other traditional typical Cuban dances. |
