*** PHOTO RELEASE *** M. A. MILAM K-8 CENTER CELEBRATES CUBAN INDEPENDENCE DAY
Appearing with Ms. Perla Tabares Hantman, Chairman of the School Board of Miami-Dade County, is a group of participating students in the celebration of the 20th of May, Cuban Independence Day. On that date, Cuba ceased being a colony and joined the community of free democratic republics in the Western Hemisphere. For the past eight years, Ms. Hantman has been sponsoring the celebration of this historic date at M.A. Milam K-8 Center, currently under the stewardship of its principal, Anna M. Hernández.
