Going, Going, GREEN! - A FREE FAMILY LEARNING EVENT

To provide parents and children of all ages with information and hands-on learning experiences designed to raise awareness of South Florida’s unique subtropical environment and to guide families in taking an active role in conserving, sustaining and expanding our region’s natural resources.

The event will provide educational activities and resources to promote math, science and reading skills. Among the activities areEco Art classes taught by M-DCPS art teachers from the Dade Art Educators Association, a Rain Barrel/Water Conservation workshop taught by University of Florida Cooperative Extension, and a Germination workshop taught by BioPlanet USA.  Children will plant seeds and take home seedling trees, and door prizes will be available.
