BAKER AVIATION SCHOOL TO RECEIVE DONATED 737 AIRCRAFT AT MIDNIGHT

WHO: 

George T. Baker Aviation School officials and students, Munilla Construction Management, Allegiance Crane, Commercial Jet and Miami-Dade Aviation Department officials and others

WHAT:

Aircraft Donation

WHEN:

Tuesday, June 28, 2011, around midnight

WHERE:

Le Jeune Road and N.W. 31st Street

WHY:

The Boeing 737 is being donated through the effort and coordination of Benny F. Benitez, Founder and CEO of the 94th Aero Claims-Aviation Consultant Group of Miami, Florida from their client Freeman Leasing, L.L.C. 
                         
A 500-ton crane, provided by Allegiance Crane, will pick up the 737 and lift it over State Road 112 and place it on Le Jeune Road.  From there, an aircraft tug provided by Commercial Jet will pull the 737 to the school. This is the second aircraft that has been donated to Baker. In May 2010, American Airlines donated a MD-80.
