M-DCPS’ THE PARENT ACADEMY PRESENTS
BLUEPRINTS FOR HAPPY, HEALTHY CHILDREN

WHAT:	Blueprints for Happy, Healthy Children – A Free Family Learning Event
WHEN:	Saturday, July 16 1 - 6 p.m.
WHERE:	Miami Children’s Museum 980 MacArthur Causeway Miami, FL 33132
WHY:	To provide parents and children of all ages with information and hands-on learning experiences designed to nurture the stages of child development while being enriched within the environment of the Miami Children’s Museum.     The event will provide experiential activities and educational resources to promote math, science, and reading skills for children.  Among the activities are BLOCKFest, block-building extravaganza, hosted by The Institute of Child and Family Health; Creating Caring Children, parent-training sessions, conducted by The Peace Foundation; Families Building Better Readers workshops taught by The Parent Academy; The Butterfly Garden Design Pavilion; Rain Barrel Construction Workshop; and Putting Together Healthy Snacks taught by Catering the Event.   Book giveaways and door prizes will be available. Exhibits will feature Bob the Builder.
