SOUTH MIAMI HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TO RECEIVE DONATION OF LUNCH BAGS, BACKPACKS FROM MIAMI-DADE COUNTY LEAGUE OF CITIES, SEPT. 8

Students from South Miami Heights Elementary School will be the recipients of a generous gift from the Miami-Dade County League of Cities (MDCLC) during its First Annual Back-to-School distribution of backpacks and lunch bags on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m.  The event will take place in the school’s media center located at 12231 S.W. 190th Terrace, Miami.

The MDCLC’s membership spearheaded this drive to provide assistance to needy students in the Miami-Dade community.  They collected approximately 282 lunch bags and 94 backpacks.

The MDCLC’s president, Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, and executive board members, will be participating in this event.
