60 M-DCPS STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
MIAMI DOLPHINS’ BOOK BAG GIVEAWAY

Sixty students from two Miami-Dade County public schools will get a huge treat on Tuesday, Sept. 13, when they participate in the “Miami Dolphins’ Book Bag Giveaway” as the team helps to kick off the 2011-2012 school year. The event will take place from 3:30-5 p.m., at the Miami Dolphins Training Camp located at Nova Southeastern University, Training Bubble, 7500 S.W. 30th St., Davie, Florida 33314.

The students, from Leisure City and Carrie P. Meek/Westview K-8 centers, along with 50 students from Broward County Schools, will receive book bags filled with school supplies and a T-shirt.  Students will have an opportunity to interact with the Miami Dolphins players, alumni, and cheerleaders.
 
Additionally, the Dolphins players will speak to the students about the importance of education, setting goals for the school year, as well as the benefits of exercising and staying healthy.  Students also will have an opportunity to take part in a dance contest in which the Miami Dolphins players will judge and give out prizes.
