WHY:

Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho, in partnership with Miami Dade College President Eduardo Padrón and Florida International University President Mark Rosenberg, will moderate the Aspirations panel discussion at the 2011 Education Summit: One Community for Education, which is sponsored by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

The education leaders will address civic and business leaders in an effort to continuously improve education at all levels as well as obtain stable and predictable funding critical for public institutions and providing increased access to quality public and private educational opportunities. The aspirations include all levels of education from Early Childhood Development to postsecondary education.

In addition, the Superintendent will host Florida Commissioner of Education Gerard Robinson at the School Board Administration Building, 1450 N.E. 2nd Avenue, following the Education Summit.
